OUR TEAM

The People who will
actually be on your Site.

Small enough that you know who is running your project. Experienced
enough that they have run one like it before.

HOW WE ARE SET UP

On a national contractor, the people who win the work are rarely the people who deliver it. You meet a business development team, sign with a regional office, and then find out who is actually running your project on the day they mobilise.

That does not happen here. The four people on this page are the people you will deal with — from the first walkthrough to closeout, across every market we work in.

S-Bar was founded in 2022 by Paul Siwek and Jason Barkatt. In the years since, the team has delivered nearly twenty projects across the ABF Freight network alone, every one of them inside a facility that stayed operating.

ON YOUR PROJECT

Paul sets the delivery standard and holds final accountability on every contract S-Bar signs. On multi-site and program work he is directly involved in scoping before anything is priced.

Paul came to construction from the engineering side of it. At Accenture he worked on digitally transforming engineering, construction, and operations for clients in oil and gas — the kind of environment where a facility going offline is measured in the hundreds of thousands per day. At KBR he ran project management and business development, including a two-year assignment in Saudi Arabia.

That background is why S-Bar prices the sequence rather than just the scope. Paul co-founded the company with Jason Barkatt in 2022 to focus on revitalising commercial and industrial space across North America — work that, by definition, happens on assets already in service.

Outside S-Bar he has built businesses in real estate, hospitality, and technology advisory.

ON YOUR PROJECT

Jason owns operational delivery. Sequencing, crew allocation, and the phasing plan that keeps your facility running come back to him — and on larger programs he is on site, not in an office reviewing reports.

Thirty-seven years is the number that matters here. Jason has delivered commercial and industrial projects from ten thousand square feet to a million, which means very little on a job site surprises him — and the phasing problems that stop other contractors are ones he has solved before.

His portfolio spans build-to-suit industrial, office and retail programs including national rollouts, and heavy custom work down to cabinetry and trim. That range is unusual. It is also why S-Bar can self-perform and directly supervise scope that most general contractors subcontract and hope for.

ON YOUR PROJECT

Adam is most often your day-to-day point of contact. He scopes the work, drafts the contract, and runs delivery — so the person who wrote what you signed is the person answering when you call about it.

Two decades in commercial construction, renovation, and remodelling — the categories that make up nearly all of S-Bar's work. Adam handles the part of a project that decides whether it goes well before anyone mobilises: reading the site, scoping honestly, and writing a contract that reflects what the job actually is.

Adam also writes S-Bar's market analysis on industrial outdoor storage — where rents are moving, what owners are budgeting for, and what he is seeing fail on sites across our markets.

On-site delivery, crew supervision, schedule and budget control
ON YOUR PROJECT

George runs the site. Day-to-day supervision, crew coordination, and holding the phasing plan against reality once the work is underway — including the daily calls with your operations team about access and hours.

George is the superintendent on S-Bar projects, responsible for delivering work on schedule and within budget once crews are mobilised. On occupied facilities that role carries more weight than usual — the phasing plan only holds if someone on site is enforcing it every day.
